Which head should I go with??
I have the T1 cam, flp longtubes,ls6 intake, ported TB and all the other crap. I dynoed at 380rwhp and 363rwtq. I was running rich and I had some plug issues. I want more torque!!!!!
Now it is time for heads. I really like the ARE heads but I am not sure if I want to get with stage 2 or 3. I know it isn't a great idea to go with stage 3 heads on stock displacment but I wonder what would happen?
What do you guys think ARE heads, MTI heads, GTP heads etc.....? I really don't want to get MTI heads because I am boycotting their company.
Any info would be great
Thanks
Jasen

I give a shout out to both GTP and ARE. Had one and now the other and pleased with both. Its a toss up. Talk to both and see which you like <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

I think that there are some KICK *** head companies out there.
I use MTI. Why? Well for me it came down to who was running consistently at the front of the pack. MTI was always there...either leading the pack or right on the leader’s ***.
Warranty? No other Head/cam installer can touch MTI's warranty that I have seen.
Location, they are right here in Houston. But, they have a HUGE web presence.
Professionalism, they go the extra mile in looking for EVERY last HP.
R & D, it seems that when they come up with a new process, cam spec, etc. Soon, competing company after company is jumping on the "band wagon".
In house head porting, they do all their head porting "in-house" by the same folks who have been doing it for years. With an in-house flow bench they will give you your heads, I mean YOUR OWN PERSONAL set of heads, flow data. Not some generic tricked out heads that they have data on. But YOUR heads and how they flowed.
I did it and would do it again. Every time I go there.. I am impressed with their establishment again and again.
