Valve float....
Dave
Good I am feeling a little better now. Not pointing any fingers, but it may have been a hoax <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
Like what was said above this place is very reputable so it puzzles me to think they would do something like that. So I am not sure, either way I don't care, i'll live with the problem or go to GM to fix it. Maybe i'll even do a cam swap and have those changed in the process

I dynoed a few cars before and I had no valve float what so ever.
And I suppose no one who dyno'd that day NEVER revved there motor just a little bit higher than 5500rpms either right?
Wake up people, weak valve springs are quite common in these motors when the car is raced/driven hard, even if just a little bit.
we are just asking a question, and it seems like everyone is saying that we were being taken for a ride. I am the last person here who wants to see anything break on my car and I am willing to take every precaution necessary to see my car stays in good shape, but I will not let my limited knowledge be used against me, thats why I am here on LS1Tech.com
I don't want to start any wars here because I have a lot of respect of them and their customers

Your car is probably fine, nothing is going to break or blow up and even if there is some valve float the car will still perform very well on the road/track if not the same even. But valve float is not uncommon (especially on 6 speeds) after some hard racing miles and it could hamper prformance down the road a bit.
I wouldn't worry about it until your trap speeds start to really suffer or unless you're doing a cam swap anyway. <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />

There doesn't appear to be problems with your valve springs, however- the same can't be said about the dyno:

A free Dyno Day shouldn't end up costing $650 or $450.. especially if the work isn't necessary.
Any rebuttals from Dave or TechHombre??
If you have a ton of track passes on your car and lot of miles yes you can have valve float.
But you might also need a tuneup.
