Default Just installed MAFT with Pace LS6 MAF

I set all switches to off and insured proper connection into harness...I think.
I disconnected battery during install.

I cranked it up and had to give it constant gas to keep it from dieing. I let it idle for a few minutes and then gave it some gas. Basicially when I let off the gas my idle goes down to about 400rpm and my lights go dim then the car finds its idle speed again. I would have taken it for a ride but I have had a couple of LoneStar's and dont want the damn thing to die with me driving with beer on my breath even though it has only been 2 or 3.

Does this sound bad or do I need to run it and let the PCM learn the new configuration?

Anybody else use this combo?

Oh yea...I set the normal run to 0% and the WOT to 2% because I was lean and wanted to start somwhere.

Make sure everything is off while its relearning, a/c, radio, phones, radar detectors, etc...
I know that really p*ssed mine off while relearning.

I agree with the others, until you autotap it or can goto a dyno to dial in the numbers its best to leave it at 0 base and 0 wot.

I am curious as to why you got the MAFT and the Pace MAF?

I have the Pace MAF alone, and the A/F ratio on my car is perfect?

Did you try the MAF by itself, or are you just trying to get that little extra out of it?

I did the exact same swap and the idle re-learn procedure is mandatory here because of the new combo. Try this first and set you MAFT back to 0 & 0 until the car has about 50 miles on it. Then ATAP it and adjust as required from there.

I wonder what would happen it I put the MAFT on V6. I did that once and it ran fine. I wonder if it would help lean it out more then on the V8 one.

I'd leave the MAFT off until hitting the dyno.

My MAFT cost the car 6rwhp and 6rwtq by just being the loop <img src="graemlins/gr_images/icons/mad.gif" border="0" alt="[very mad]" /> set at 0 baseline and 0 wot with my SLP 85mm MAF, which is very similar to your Pace LS6 MAF.

LunaticTA, in my case the PACE MAF was not enough to get the A/F ratio within expected limits. My '99 LS1 motor runs best now with the MAFT set at base +10% rich and WOT -4% lean. This was verified by picking up 13RWHP & 15RWTQ after installation.
