What makes you think you bent the pushrods? Any unusual noises like loud ticking? I've hit the rev limited a couple of times and when I've had the car dyno'd they hit the rev limiter each time.

Are you sure its ticking or is it just the belts...I find that if you hold the tensioner real tight it quiets the belts....

The only ticking sound I have right now is a ORP leak..

I doubt if people are bending pushrods at 6200 rpm. I routinely rev my stock valve train to 6400. Hundreds of times.

Bent pushrods are usually caused by accidently downshifting at high RPM.

pull the valve cover and loosen the rocker arm and pull them out and rool them on a true surface. if they wobble then they are bent

Are you sure that it's not piston slap? Maybe you're just paranoid and are listening for every little noise now. You most likely had the same ticking sound before you hit the limiter. FWIW, I've tagged the limiter quite a few times in my SS with no problems. The RPM's aren't going to hurt your engine, but sitting on the limiter for a LONG time may bend a few. My shift points are at 6,200 RPM, FWIW.
The easiest way to find out is to pull the pushrods out and roll them across a flat surface. It's no big deal to do. The rockers are shaft mounted, so just pull them off and pull the pushrods out. When you're ready to go back together with it, torque the rockers down to 22 lb./ft. of TQ. I had to adjust the valves on my '98 T/A more than once, so I know just how much fun it will be to get to all of those valve cover bolts. If ya have any problems, post up in the southern section for Joseph. He's the moderator over there, and he works for Scoggin-Dickey, so he might be able to help ya out.

...or, if you should happen to run the motor up anywhere near redline and also happen to have weak valve springs!! Can you spell v-a-l-v-e f-l-o-a-t?!? Valve float on an LS1 = bent pushrods! Been there, done that!

Best regardSS,

Elie

There is little chance that you bent pushrods by hitting the rev limiter. We run those suckers to 7000rpm in our race motors with no problems.

You damage pushrods when you miss a down shift and get into a forced-overrev condition.

i have to dissagree. we just went and looked at a friend of mine t/a A4!! and he had some also almost all bentit was cuz of the hitting of the revlimiter too much. yes you can bend pushrods with only hitting rev limiter.

also you donot have to totally remove the rocker arm. just loosen it up and turn it and you have access to the pushrod with out having to remove other stuff and have the chance of getting the arm to cylinder mix up.
