missing oil

missing oil does any one in here experience your vehicle (LS1), needing oil before you even reach the 3,000 mile recommended oil change trip? Mine seems to, it is stock except for a corsa catback which i know for sure has nothing to do with my oil problem. there are no leaks anywhere. i think it is burning oil or something. it has only 14,000 miles on it not 100% abused miles either. let me know

Re: missing oil I have 9400 miles and I am currently using a teeny bit over a quart at 3000 miles. 5w30 Mobil 1. I hope it gets better and I may try 10w30 at some point. Next change I am trying Valvoline synthetic.
