does any one in here experience your vehicle (LS1), needing oil before you even reach the 3,000 mile recommended oil change trip? Mine seems to, it is stock except for a corsa catback which i know for sure has nothing to do with my oil problem. there are no leaks anywhere. i think it is burning oil or something. it has only 14,000 miles on it not 100% abused miles either. let me know

Yea, some LS1's are like that...mine takes a quart every 1500...I'm not too concerned about it...

 

I have 9400 miles and I am currently using a teeny bit over a quart at 3000 miles. 5w30 Mobil 1. I hope it gets better and I may try 10w30 at some point. Next change I am trying Valvoline synthetic.
