truck heads ???
what are the benifits to running a head of a 5.3 truck besides higher compression ratio? do they flow well compaired to the ls1 camaro heads

The truck heads have nearly identical intake/exhaust ports compared to the 5.7l LS1 heads. Only major difference is combustion chamber volume and valve size.

Eric, from what I have read, the volume is 60cc. I'll try to CC a set before we ship some off to Craig @ GTP and after we get them back.
The main benefit is the added compression ratio. If you aren't looking for more than 10.8:1 or so, then stick with the 5.7l LS1 heads.

Jason, thanks a bunch. 60cc chambers puts it right at/over 11.0:1. Please post your info. I am very curious.
My understanding is the 6.0L heads are the way to go. The best I can find out, those heads have around 63 cc chambers when milled 0.030". That is right at 10.6:1.
Thanks for the heads up. I am cc'ing my stock heads later this week. I am going to double check (for myself) the 67.3 advertised on the LS1 head.

Who is porting the heads for you? You need to talk with the person doing the work as that will determine if the cam will work well with them.
