Default ASP Alternator pulley

Anyone have any hints on how to get the stocker off? It spins the pulley even with the belt on and my little 3/8" socket wrench...

Installing the damn crank pulley was a pain in the ***. I won't waste board space here with my ranting, however.

I pulled my alternator and stuck the pulley in a vise.

The center shaft on my Y2K had a torx head cast into it. I used a torx tool (can't remember which size) to hold the alternator pulley still, and used an open end wrench to loosen the nut. It wasn't on there too terribly tight. Hope this helps and let me know how you do. <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">

I know an impact would remove it. I suppose I should have been more specific... I don't have one!

I'll check to see if there is a torx socket in the shaft, that would do the trick.
