Default picking valvesprings for cam.....

so what do you have to look for in a spring after selecting a cam? i know you have to make sure it can handle the lift of the cam, but what else? cause otherwise would the comp 918 springs be best suited for most readily available cams?

Default Re: picking valvesprings for cam.....

comp came out with the 918s for higher lifts that most LS1 cams have and the RPMs they are turning. There is the dual spring route which is better but you have to remove the heads to have them machined to fit

I say in most applications 918s are gonna be your best bet
