Default Is my pulley tight enough?

I just installed the ASP crank pulley. First, let me say, make sure you get the right kind of pulley puller. It will make life easier. My ? is, I tightened down the bolt on the pulley as tight as i possibly could w/ my tq wrench. It only goes up to 140 ft/lbs. It went way past that. You are supposed to get 237 ft/lb. Think It is tight enough? I've already done a wide open throttle run and gone back to tighten it and could still do no more. Do i still need to check it with someone else's tq wrench?

It's probably not tight enough. You are supposed to tighten it down with a torque wrench to the specified amount. Then install a new bolt thighten to something like 37 ftlbs and then 120 degrees. If I were you I'd check it.

You can't guess on the deal or you could mess up your crank ($$$$$$$$$). I'm with Paul, it's not tight enough, go spend the money and get a proper torque wrench, then use the proper torque sequence, this is nothing to fool around with.
