I doubt you'll see 30 hp with a cam swap and keep perfect drivability, unless your heads were ported towards a specific cam. MTI could tell you if your intake runners were ported to match your LS6 cam or a different one.

If you keep your LSA fairly wide, you will get a much smoother idle and driveability. You may want to consider something like a Comp 216/220 on a 116 LSA. It would be sneaky stealthy. It would give you a nice 10-15 hp increase over the LS6 cam IMO. Don't think you'd like the 112 LSA cams...even the smaller ones...they definitely have a "beat" to them.

I haven't run that cam, but I would expect it to idle like stock at 750 rpms. It certainly would have a lope to it if you kept the stock idle of 550, but it sounds like MTI has taken care of that. <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

I highly Rec the TR220 cam. I have a company truck that I drive and my wife drives the Z to work every day. The car idles like stock and the power is awesome. I had the Hammer cam. It dyno'd
358hp and I ran 12.40 110 in cool weather. I allmost got a devorse over that cam. It wouldn't idle for sh**. I even had ED reprogram the computer, still nothing. Then came the TR220. With the same programming as before I now run 12.10's @ 112-113 and idles like stock and pulls much harder than the Hammer cam ever did. My best is 12.05 w/ 1.70 60'. I can't say enough about the driveability and power this little cam makes.
Get the Thunder racing cam. You will never regret it.
