Default Found the Culprit!

Heres a link to my thread and explains why my car is running like crap basically
https://ls1tech.com/ubb/cgi-bin/ulti...c&f=1&t=000764

Anyway got the wires and stuff off...FIRST plug we checked was soaked in gas...obviously not good....took the other three out on the driver side and they were all fine....so we pulled the valve covers off and.....nothing no broken springs nothing.....pulled the intake pushrod off the cylinder that had the wet plug and WHAM i broke a pushrod CLEAN in half it was even bent some at the top......and when it happened i was just cruising driving normally doing about 45 in fourth gear....soo looks like the other piece of the pushrod is down further where we cant get to it...were gonna try magnets and one of thoose little grabby arm thingies to see if we can get the piece....if not looks like were pulling the head DAMNIT! ohhwell **** happens i guess...anything else i should look out for??
Thanks for the help
Jay

I bet the magnet trick will do it.. I dont
think there is anything more than a tube
all the way down to the lifter.. I may be
wrong..never have seen down in that far.
Post your results..

I figured that or a valvespring, since you stated that you kept driving around I knew it was a pushrod...

well good luck with it, and you should probably upgrade to newer pushrods, just to be on the safe side...

I think he was talking about the valvespring, 4th from the end. And no his weren't broken. Looks to be just a push rod and he was lucky it stayed in 2 big pieces.
