Default Weird noise... problem?

Alright, how to describe this.. hmm. Well, you know the sound when your speakers are getting noise from the electrical system? That almost static type noise? Well thats what I have. Only, it's not coming from the speakers. It happens with the radio on or off. The level and rate of the noise is independant from engine RPM and throttle position. It's also coming from the fuel tank... I think. I can hear the noise outside the vehicle as well as in. I figured, hmm, might be the fuel pump. So I turned the car off and turned the key to the on position to turn the pump on, no noise. I just did my header install, and get a y-pipe made with cats. I do have a slight header leak on the drivers side. That will be taken care of tomorrow morning though. My EGR also isn't fully hooked up. But, since those are in the front of the car I don't think that they would make a noise by the fuel tank. I also thought it might be my tires, maybe a nail went in. But nope, only happens when the engine is actually running. Any ideas?

I know this is gonna sound crazy.... but try it. I had the same problem. Check the Nuts that hold the T-Top racks in place. More than likely, they are loose, and since they have built in washers, they make Hella noise.

I heard mine from beneath my V-Technologies speaker box.... <img src="images/icons/shocked.gif" border="0">

Hope that's it!

Taco- You're right, you're solution did sound nuts. I heard it in the car, outside of the car. Everywhere. And guess what, I think you were right. It's not there any more. One of the nuts was a little loose. That must have been it. Thank you, I do appriciate your help.
