98 motor, LS6 heads. What gaskets?
About to put my 98 C5 back together but need to figure this out really quick.
I am putting on cnc'd LS6 heads, do i use head gaskets for a 98 or a different year?
I already have a set of stock 98 gm headgaskets and a set of fel pro mls headgaskets for a 98 w/ about 20 mintues of run time on them but have heard they wont work w/ the LS6 heads.

you can use any gasket with the ls6 heads. Its the 98 heads (not the block) that has the detent that could cause a leak with newer style gaskets.
I would look into the GM MLS gaskets, either 5.7 or 6.0L will work. The 6.0L gaskets are advertised as a little thinner, but IMO theyre about the same compressed thickness.

Correct!! I'm running LS6 heads with Cometic .045 gaskets...
