Do split duration cams rev up quicker?

What makes an engine with aftermarket cam rev up quicker? Someone at work told me split duration cams rev up quicker because the ex. valve has more time to push combustion gages out?? Is this ture, and what about single duration cams what can make them rev quickly? Thanks

I think what you're talking about here is ramp rates, correct? There was a good thread on this a week or so ago...
