ls for old school 350
Quick question there is a guy that wants to trade a motor out of a 2000 vette with computer for an old school 350 four bolt straight across and i have a feeling its hot but im not sure. Is there a way to find out because i don't wanna make the trade and the engine is smokin and the cops come after me??? Please help with any tips or info thanks
see thats what im sayin i mean i have some work to the 350 but not enough to make an even trade and thats why i think he is tryin to dump it because its hot and i want the engine but i want to know if theres a number on it to determine if its hot
It's not going to be like a label on the computer. You will need some type of scanner that will read the vin and a way to hook up the scanner to the computer if you do not have the entire wiring harness including the ALDL connector.

come monday after work im gonna be checkin out the motor. he says its up on a stand so i'll prob roll it and take the pan off and see if theres any rod or mains spun on it but the story goes that the vette that it came outta was t-boned and he only had liability on it and was gonna repair it but hasn't had time or money so he sold the shell and kept the motor and comp but i'll see monday if its good how hard would it be to swap out motors
