I don't know how much, but I think that would be horrible if you couldn't port it. Seriously, i'll bet a stock Holley won't flow that much more than a stock LS6 - until you port it.

Hi regulars!
Holley told me at PRI that the new intake is an exact casting of an LS6 intake.
Colonel, I think it would be possible to open up that inlet and fit a custom throttle body on there.
We will see tuner shops getting these intakes and customizing them in the 1st quarter of next year.
You could buy the headers uncoated and get them coated locally. Coating runs me $150-200 for stuff like headers.
FYI, I will host any press releases from any company just send them to me.
LS1Tech appreciates our new relationship with Holley and it's affiliate companies.

Looks to me like they just took the LS6 and made a mold from it, cast it in aluminum, $800, thank you and drive through....

Spoke with ARE last week, and they said they were expecting the intake to come in so they could test it. They should have it in hand now, and ideas are flowing, I'm sure. Nice candidate for a cheater direct port

Unreal. I wish I thought of that NOSzle. Damn, that's slick as hell. So would that be a wet or dry system?. I guess it's a hybrid. Profound.
This stuff is so simple and right the f in front of us guys. Man. I bet the rest of the Nitrous Mfr's are kicking themselves at this one.
Everything looks awesome. Except the price tag on that intake. I think 500 would be a little more fair. Let's boycott it!

Re: Press Releases from Holley (Intake Manifold, Hooker Longtubes, NOS DP)
hmmm
If the headers come in uncosted for 366 I will have to pick up a set
Does anyone know if the Ypipe with them is a full 3 inches? What size collector on the Ypipe?
Thanks again,
Chris
ps- If hooker keeps the price for the headers under the 400 dollar mark uncoated they will sell a LOAD of them!

At SEMA, they were saying it flowed 10% better than stock, which was the LS1 intake. So, you're probably right. The polished one was sweet though...
The headers looked great too, but I didn't think they were going to be available with O2 sensor bungs.. Or, maybe the guy I was talking to didn't know what he was talking about.

Mir, feel free to repost the intake pic if you can make it smaller it's screwing up the margins.
