Default 2002 Z28 A4 Dyno Results

Just in case anyone wanted to know.

2002 Z28 A4
Lid (Paper Filter) and SLP LoudMouth
2500 Miles
DynoJet

Best Run (Actual)

328 HP / 337 FtLbs

So what have others been seeing with this year and mods? Also what correction factor is good to use to get engine horsepower on an LS1 auto?

You can't post your actual #'s and expect to get other dyno #'s for comparison. It might be 30 degrees out when you dyno vs. 80 for someone else. What were your corrected SAE #'s?

Now those seem more believable for the mods you have.

With the mods you have, you were probably around 297-300 stock...pretty typical for LS1 F-bodies. Good modified numbers though.

Nice numbers! How do you like the loudmouth on an auto? Does it drone alot on the highway or make excessive noise during stop light acceleration?Did you feel any SOTP? This seems like a good mod, weight savings and power at the same time.

Thanks,Chris

The loudmouth does have a drone at 1800-1900 RPM's, but it sounds great everywhere else. I'm trying to figure a way to get rid of the drone as we speak. I was really happy with the numbers, and it seems from the feedback that it is a good start. What type of loss factor seems reasonable to find the flywheel HP on an auto?

most auto's will experience a 15% loss, it can depend on the trans used. My TH350 in my nova probably eats about 50-60 hp of the 390 I make in the best air (hp figure done with weight and trap speed) sig shows times. So you are probably in the area of 380 at the wheel <img src="graemlins/gr_xmas.gif" border="0" alt="[santa]" />
