Please forgive yet another header question
Planning heads, cam, and headers for my '99 M6. Don't want cats. After reading many header posts it seems:
SLP - good quality and fit, but ground clearance issues. My car is lowered 3/4". Only available with cats unless a ypipe is fabricated.
FLP - Good quality, somewhat better ground clearance, but fitment issue with floor banging.
Grotyohanns - (assuming I could find a set) much reccommended, but I could find no information.
Macs - I'm leaning this way, but complaints of "terrible rasp" with ORP.
Any advice is appreciated.

Re: Please forgive yet another header question
All SLP headers come with a Y-pipe. You can get either off road or cats. My friend Al (RPM Z28) has both the cat and off road pipes. He has a stock height ’00 Z28 and clearance “looks” like it would be a problem, but it hasn’t been yet in over two or three months that he’s had them.
I’m still debating between SLPs or MACs. As the days go by, I’m leaning more towards SLPs though...

Go with the new Hookers uncoated or MACs with Offroad!
The Hookers are looking really sharp right now!
I think the hooker Longtubes (without Ypipe) are going to be under 400 bucks with all emissions fittings. That is simply AWESOME
Plus they look damn cool. You could get a 3 inch Ypipe made cheap and put in 3 inch removable cats if you wanted Coating would be another couple of hundred bucks.
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks Chris. I was in Toronto last Tuesday talking with Nick Agostino who'll do the work using his stageI heads, his cam choice, and ARE oil pump. Car's in storage now so I have time to decide on headers. Just want to make the right choice.

Was on the phone last week with SLP. They say they no longer sell an off road pipe with the headers, so one would need to be fabricated. They said their cats are made by Random Technology. The web site shows headers alone for $850, but no OR pipe listed.
