Default short belt

How much ET/MPH is the short belt mod worth (bypassing the AC, AIR, PS)?

Its worth approximately 0.03 seconds. If you or your car is not a consistent performer, you will probably never notice the ET change. But, being the bracket-racer that I am, I can easily see the changes when I add the belt. I'm pretty consistent about driving within 0.01 of my dial-in.

I have an M6, so its hard to be that consitent. I figured if i'm gonna run skinnies, I might as well run a short-belt. Who needs powersteering with 165mm tires? <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

Thats definitely true, and is the main reason I run a shortbelt at the track. It makes the car feel much safer in my opinion, and when you drive with one hand on the wheel in a straight line you do not need power steering. Power steering makes the car react too quickly to any changes in steering, especially when you are going faster.
