It depends on how hard your car launches. The guys at S.A.M. were having some problems with the fuel backing off of the pump pick-up when they ran 1/8 tank and cut 1.3x-1.4x 60' times, so they added more fuel, maybe 1/4 tank. If you are launching like a normal car, I would keep at least 1/8 tank in there.

Extra weight in the rear of the car can help your ET if traction is a problem. If it's not it'll slow you down of course.
