LT1 question,about the LT4 hot cam. What is the power range of this cam[how high does it work]with the stock 1.5 rockers.Dynoed the car with stock PCM and power was still going up but limited by the rev.limiter.@ 5750 it was putting out 352.3 rwhp so wondering how much power is available JUST with rpm increase of 500-700.I know with changes in fuel delivery and timing etc.etc.I will gain even more.The hp/rpm ratio is 14-15 for every additional 250 rpm,so would 30 extra horses just from rpm be realistic???
Re: LT1 question,about the LT4 hot cam. You're probably got about 15 peak rwhp left in there. I have installed 3 different hot cams in friend's cars, and all seemed to like the 6100ish range for peak power.
You're running a completely stock PCM? No tuning at all?? If so, you've definately got some hidden power waiting to be found from dyno tuning. Get that thing on the dyno and find someone who can tune it. The Hotcam is considered a baby cam, but judging from your current #'s, you could probably see 370ish rwhp figure from that little cam. A set of 1.6 rockers is also a damn good idea to get the most out of it. I am very suprised you got those gains without them. What type of heads are you running? Not to shabby at all.
