what is a 370. what does it start as 5.7 , 6? iron, aluminum? and do i bore it? please help

370 is a iron 6l block bored .030 over using stock crank

what would be the cubic inches of a 5.7 346ci motor be i it was bored over .30 and running the stock cranck?

You cant bore the 5.7 aluminum block that far over, most is .010 and that makes it a 348.

well considering you shouldnt bore ANY motor .30 over.... i think you mean .030 over..

LS1 aluminum engines should NOT be bored.. they are sleeved.. and you can not take .030 off of the sleeve on an LSx based aluminum engine. i think I have seen some one mention that the biggest you can take it to would be .010 over... if that.. and most people wouldnt even do that.

not to hijack this thread but, all the kits that i look into call for a 3.905 bore and a different crank(347,474, 383) now im talking building a stroker engine. but i measured my cylinder walls and came to the conclusion that i need to machine out .0074. can this be done safely with no worries?

usual is 3.905 bore max on 99+
