Default Different Sized Pushrod?

Ok I have been looking around at heads and cam packages and I have noticed that there is an option for different length pushrods.

What is the benefit of running shorter pushrods compared to Stockers? Is there an increase in power and Torque or do you lose because the valve doesn open as far?

Most of time the shorter PR's are used when the heads have been milled, to acheive the correct preload. You dont want a PR thats to long. Thus resulting in the valves hanging open. And you dont want one thats to short keeping the valve from opening all the way.

Best thing to do if you do a H/C swap is invest in a $20 PR length checker. That way you will know the exact lenght PR you need.
