What is the routing for the short belt mod?

It only fits one way, and you have it correct. You really do not have to remove the idler pulley though, it clears underneath that pulley by an easy 1/8" (I saw this when my motor was out of the car)
Just have to remove that bottom bolt that holds the alternator in place. Mine stays out.
The belt touches maybe 1/4 of the surface on the bottom of the water pump, that is plenty. It won't slip, and even if it ever did it would still be turning it too.

So It goes Under the idler pulley?
I went and Bought a longer belt so
it could go over. It seemed like
it was touching more of the Water pump
that way.

It goes under the idler pulley. From the bottom of the water pump directly to the alternator (bypassing idler pulley, under it), to the bottom of the crank pulley, up to the tensioner.
The water pump doesn't need much belt touching it, you can spin it by hand pretty easily. If ANY part of the belt is touching it, it will spin just fine.

Currently, I only have:
ASP Pulley
Alternator
Water Pump
Tensioner
Idler Pulley
Right now, I have the idler pulley off and i run the belt directly from the ASP to the alternator to the water pump to the tensioner and back to the ASP.
Problem is, if you go around the idler pulley (same as stock routing), then the idler pulley is in the way for the belt to return to the water pump. How are folks routing the belt?
Right now, I have very limited contact on the ASP and water pump. No slipping yet, but I haven't driven in the rain either.
