For some reason, my 01 SS has a rough idle. Just changed the plugs and wires to check to see if that was the issue, went back with NGK TR-6's and there was NO change. I had a little tick noise, so I replaced the pushrods with chromemoly ones, no change in the idle. Any clue? Car only has 45k on the clock, also I don't believe its a coil issue, but im up for any suggestions at this point.

 

sounds like a possible vaccum leak somewhere in the system, did you check the PCV system, or any of the hoses for tears?? i had a weird idle and it was b/c my PCV system was broke and the hose was leaking cauing a vaccum leak.

 

Yeah, I don't think its a vaccum leak. I have a theory that the noise is from the fuel injectors, ill have them cleaned then see if that works.
