Default Remove Heads to Replace Valvesprings?

I'm planning on replacing the Crowler valvesprings in my car (one just broke) with CC's 918's and the stock sized Ti retainers. Car I take the car in for the replacement and expect to pick it up the day or will the heads have to be removed to replace the springs. I might think about doing it myself but A) I don't have the time, and B) I've never done this before and don't feel comfortable doing something for the first time without guidance. Anyway, do the heads need to come off or not?...hopefully NOT.

Thanks
-Kris

heads don't have to come off. Use air to hold the valves up. I used the cheapo spring remover from sears, it's 14.??. the back springs are a little tuff but you can do it with a little help. goodluck

Like Dean said...you can use compressed air (in the spark plug holes) to hold the valves up...but I've seen some people use a long piece of Nylon rope/cord. They just feed it thru the spark plug holes. After enuff is stuffed in there, it will hold the valves up. <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">
