Question about dyno results???
Well I had my car dyoned back in the summer when it was 100 degrees outside. The first pull on the dyno the guy only got 247 RWHP! I was like no freaking way! So, he did to more pulls only getting it to 300RWHP. He said the graph looked strange and asked what fuel I was using I said "87 octane" (yeah now I know better). My questions is how much will that hurt my numbers? Just curious cause I'm seeing people on here with 2000 models with the same mods putting down like 325RWHP <img src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" border="0" alt="[jester]" />

Re: Question about dyno results???
With stock compression, you don't need anything higher than 91 octane, I know, I'm a chemist and my previous job was at Sunoco testing this exact thing.
Now, in the heat, higher compression, more agressive spark tables ect and you will benefit from 93 octane.
Most of the time, 91 is all you need, go to a higher octane will net you no more "energy" than the lower octanes, in fact it burns slower, hence the ability to resist knock.

So, basically your saying it didn' hurt my dyno numbers to much?

Re: Question about dyno results???
I don't know if it will get you to 325 RWHP but I'm pretty sure that going from 87 to 93 will help. LS1s have a ping problem from the factory and if you go to 87 octane and a very hot climate you are making the problem worse. If the engine pings, it will pull timming out and hurt your performance. The worse the ping, the more power you will loose. Try running a few tanks of 93 octane and then go back to the dyno. Let me know your results.

Re: Question about dyno results???
Just do another dyno with 93 octane and the same exact mods you have now and let us know what you pull.
BTW, ONLY 300 rwph is not that bad for an A4 with a lid and cat-back. However, I agree you should be around 310-315 with the right fuel and proper temperature with your mods and model year(2000).
