Default what mods to 02 ram air?

i am new to the ls1 and would like to know what mods such as intake ,exhaust,or any other performance gains i could do to my car without voiding the factory warranty.i am looking for an exhaust that is quiet at low RPMs but gives a nice but not too loud rumble at higher RPMs along with a nice power gain and no hole in my pocket.thanks for any help.

For intake :

Get an Air Lid first with a K&N...you can basically get which ever one you like, they all perform the same...

For exhaust I would reccomend a GMMG chambered exhaust...has a nice sound to it...

if you are worried about the warranty forget the converter. the WS6 exhaust is a really good free flowing exhaust. buying a different cat back will be a waste of money. if you want the car more or less quiet during normanl driving get a flowmaster 80 series muffler. it gets louder when you punch it. because you have a ram air you might want to get the BG ram air kit. check out the sponsors they sell everything you need.

First off, congrats on your ram air. I'm sure your lovin it right now, and you'll adore it once there are some aftermarket parts on it that'll make it alot faster. Everytime u do an exhaust or intake change you change the a/f mixture. Not so much that it will really affect performance, only if you do alot of stuff and neglect it. If you are really worried about that though, get an atap and a MAFT (mass air flow translator). YOu read your a/f ratio with your atap and adjust it with your maft.

Since your starting out, you have to set a goal. Where do you want to be, what do you want the car to do? Handle? Straight line performance? Track car? Destroy everyone on the road?

If you want a general performance increase for right now open up the exhaust and let the car breath. Get headers and different catalytic converters to keep it legal (if you care), random tech cats are good, going through a mac y-pipe. Get a lid, whisper or MTI motortechsports, all the sponsors are listed on the right, sift through all the performance parts, read the descriptions to get an idea. If you want sound get a 25 dollar exhaust cutout from summit racing, it'll bypass the mufflers if you position right over the right rear axel, you pop it on and off (the plate) and the car will be loud as HELL. You'll loose some torque but it'll sound badass. Helps a bit on the track.

Pulleys help but not a substantial amount, possibly more when you start combining it with other parts.

If you really want to be a best get a high stall torque converter, a set of good drag radials and some suspenion parts like lower control arms, pan hard rod and torque arm to battle wheel hop and spinning. Get the lid, open up the exhaust through headers and put 4.10's in the rear. You'll be destructive off the line and pretty much **** on anyone who messes with you on the street unless they got nething better hehe. There is so much more you can do, honestly its fun but really expensive. I dropped 12k in 2 weeks between wheels, exhaust, suspenion parts and installation.

Check out www.installuniversity.com they've got some good do-it-yourself info. Also check the sponsors like i said before. Good luck bro.

Also just to tell ya pricing wise:

There are many types of induction methods for our cars. The lid is what is considered the most popular and the most versitle when combined with the BG (brian green) ram air and the FTRA (fast toys ram air). Or you can get the volant (www.volantperformance.com) looks really phat, i had it hehe. The lid is anywhere (depending GPs which are group purchases) 100-200 bucks. The volant is like 250 i believe.

Exhaust wise, if you want a catback, there are ones at little as 300 and going up to about 660 like the corsa. Headers are relatively inexpensive depending on whether u want longevity on them like with jet coating than they get pricey. Long tubes or midlengths or shorties, they range in price. again 400-1500 mostly.

A good converter is like 600+ aswell. Like i said it gets pricey hehe. Figure out what u want the car to do than repost! GL once again.
