Where to get a new alternator for a 00 SS?

Where to get a new alternator for a 00 SS? Thanks no one around here seems to carry one except the dealer and they want an arm and leg for one. I would prefer a refurbished or remanufactrued one.
Re: Where to get a new alternator for a 00 SS? I bought the truck 5.3 one from valvegod@aol.com and it fits fine but I couldn't reuse the smallest alt bolt which he told me... And the two others are adequate.

Re: Where to get a new alternator for a 00 SS? If it's rebuildable you might could save some bucks by going that route. Usually they can tell you pretty quick if it will be worth it.
