The only LS1 i have driven is my 6 month old 2001 Z28. Someone told me to get rid of the stock plugs because they run rough and dont rev as good as NGK'S. With only 8000 miles on mine is this true? Is this common knowledge?

I have had mine in the whole time but have Bosch +4s ready to go in when I get the chance. I haven't had a problem with the plugs at all, but they are getting kinda old now as I near 50,000 kms.

Stock plugs are crap. All platinum plugs are kind of crap for performance applications, platinum is not as conductive as copper and is meant for longevity, not performance.
Stock replacement plugs would be the NGK TR55 and go ahead and install them with the 0.055" gap that they come preset with.
