Default What should I do?

Recently I broke two valve springs. I noticed on one of them when I pulled the valve cover off I only found some of the broken spring, where would the rest of it go? What should I do before install the new heads I bought. what should I do?

prolly in the block somewhere, check the oil in the oil pan for metal shards, could be more internal damage.

first look in the oil pan, just unbolt the oil pan bolt let the oil drain out and then see if there are any metal shards on the bolt since it is magnetic.

yeah, they probably went into the oil pan. The pickup has a screen to keep the chunks from getting sucked back up.
