Stock Chain with the old school Speedtek F-1 Cam and 150 shot of Juice.. No big deal! 55,000 miles, not daily driven. The Chain is not a critical piece of equipment. Your much more likely to break a valve spring or bend a pushrod when revving to oblivion.

I got one for ya. 224/224 Cam swap at 105,000 miles and still on stock chain because I couldn't afford a new one at the time. Old one had little to no slack at all. I'm now on 115K and haven't had the first problem out of the stock one yet. This is just FYI, I still strongly recommend getting the LS2 chain if you're gonna go have the motor that much disassebled anyway.

If your already taking the chain off to change the cam....why wouldn't you go ahead and replace it? Thats like putting on new heads and using the same spark plugs

You can get away with it I guess. What fun is having a cam that won't bounce off the walls though?

I'll be keeping my plugs when I swap my heads this spring. I spent $100+ bucks on those plugs and they've only been in for 7k miles! They are denso iridiums btw.
