Re: Is there really any gain with a ported throttle body? They are awefully tempting at $99, but I dont think they are necessary unless you have done a lot of mods. On a bolt on only car, I think you could spend your money better. But, some say every little bit helps...

Re: Is there really any gain with a ported throttle body? We dynoed a new Thunder Racing ported TB on my friend's car. He has a Thunder 224 cam on a 114lsa and all the bolt ons. He picked up right at 8rwhp from it.

I guess it depends on the cam, or I could be wrong.

Re: Is there really any gain with a ported throttle body? If you can do this mod yourself, it's definately worth it. I ported my own TB, and saw some nice gains for a "free" mod.
If you don't know how to do it yourself, save your money until you get some serious mods. Unless of course your wallet is endless, then by all means go for it <img src="gr_tounge.gif" border="0">
