so is the the max safest bore for an NA application? or is there material left for a safe rebore?

The valves are splayed inwards towards the plug. Kind of like in a V design. BBC heads are like that:

I'd love to see the final results on the motor, I don't think they are going to see 9k or even 9500 with the current setup. I would like to see how much RPM they can get out of the motor. I have a strange feeling they are going to find a limit at 8200-8500.
