1) yes, Just ask Fireball
2 I would upgrade the pushrods.
3) Stock length.
4) No. Any cam will respond better to ported heads including the B1
5) You can get very close. You can get a 220/220 114 or a 222/222 114 from comp with ~.560 lift and fast ramps.

4) Would I be better off to just go with a LS1 Hot Cam instead since I can't stomach the 2000+ price for new heads?

5) Last but not least, I will probably get flamed for this but I noticed that the B1 cam from MTI is $459.

Cant you get Comp Cams to custom grind you the same cam for $379???

any help is greatly appreciated.

I used the B1 with stock heads and it worked great! 37rwhp on the dyno from the cam alone!
Use hardeded stock length pushrods and some matching springs though.

Was that a gain of 37 at peak? If so, what was that peak rpm? And were the gains under the curve very noticeable as well? I’m asking all of this because I’ve got a B1 that’s going in my car soon with stock heads. Thanks...

Here's the graph so you can see the gain clear across the rpm range (copy and paste link)
