Any install pics? You'd also have to get a sandwich adapter of some sort if using the stock spin-on type filter in the stock location, which would mean going back to a shorter filter on my F-body.

I like your device, I did a similar post about a year and half ago with small block chevy oil pump to prime a Ls engine and got all the same response you did. Lets see the hands of people who did the fuse pull and coil pack unplug that did not get oil pressure because it has happened even if they don't come forward. Russian roulette.

If you don't get oil pressure from doing that, then something else is wrong because you aren't magically going to get oil pressure from priming the engine.

There is no need for a sandwich adapter. You would simply put a "T" in by the oil pressure sending unit and put to sender in 1 side and the AMS-Oiler plumbing in the other side.

I do not have any pics in F-Bodies but here is a few others.

Silverado Mount

Silverado Oil Line "T" - Looks bad in this installation but will give you an idea of what can be done.

AMS-Oiler start up video. Caution: It is a Furd but will show good prestart pressure.

Has happened here, that's why I now prime the engines wit a hand pump before start up.

I'd have to say your not entirely right, sometimes a new oil pump just wont prime on it's own. Sometimes you'll have to pump some oil through them to get them primed.

What size is the oil pressure sender on the F-body? Same size as the Silverado? I like the idea of running it from there...also, how much capacity does this pre-oiler have?

Should be M16x1.5 threads for the sending unit. It hold 160 cc's which is about 5.4 ounces.

The specs can be found at the bottom of this page.

Hmmm makes sense if the pump is dry (new pump, new engine). I imagine just dripping some oil into the pump before install would be sufficient as well to prevent this all the same?
