Default Would a leak around the MAF cause a suddenly high idle?

I had my car idling great with my TR cam, my IAc pintel counts were between 5-20 at idle and idle rpm was around 800 rpms. Well I just got new tires and used my hypertech to recaibrate the speedo for bigger tires and now my idle will fall to 1200-1300 rpm's and stay there for about a minute before correcting itself. Do you all think that the hypertech could have interfeered with something? Or could it be that my MAF tend to get a little loose once and a while allowing for air to pass by after the sensor? <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">
