Default Well its final - My Cartek S2 LS6 H/C info is here!!!

I talked to Julio this afternoon
We chatted about my Mom (She's Dying) and he gave me his blessing.

I ask him ALL the BS I needed to about the setup.
I'm not doing a stroker or big bore ANYTIME soon. (Tony I wont bother u ANYMORE)Its not $$$ friendly to my setup as of now.

Julio does the LS6 S2 heads for a 3.90 Bore
Not gonna redo the heads as of now
I'm gonna do a 346CI N20 short block later for the car and hit the button...

Here r the CARTEK specs:
STOCK untouched short block 346CI
LS6 S2 Heads w/11.5CR
Ported LS6 Intake
224-224 580-580 113LSA Cam
PTB w/LS1 Edit'd PCM/30Lb Injectors
Dynatech STEPPED headers w/3in collector
3in ORY into 3in Single exhaust/Cutout
4L60E w/Yank TP4400
12-bolt 4.10's

Hope to make 420RWHP w/the combo threw a 12-bolt,auto trans shifting right at 6700rpm.

I'll be adding the Hals,K-member,A-arms,manual rack down the road to lighten her up alittle over the summer. As of now my car weighs over 3550lbs w/ME in it and after the 12-bolt it'll be even heavier.

Other then the headers and the suspension upgrades, that combination sounds mighty familiar hehehehe

I will be getting my car back at the end of next week hopefully. Just waiting on the 150 shot nitrous setup, 12 bolt Moser rear with 4.11s, line lock, and Autometer tach w/ shift light to be installed. The 12 bolt should arrive tomorrow hopefully.

Good luck with your setup. Let us know how it does.

I say with your weight 11.00's no problem.
3300 pound raceweight 10.80's for sure.
Maybe these are conservative guesses?

Everything looks great except for the y-pipe. You should really consider a 3 1/2" y-collector going all the way to a 3 1/2" cut-out, then necking down to 3" right before the axle. THAT would be ideal. The area of a 3" pipe is only 72% the area of two 2 1/2" pipes. A 3 1/2" pipe on the other hand, is within 2% of the pair of 2 1/2" pipes. Make sense?

I just noticed that you have twin 3" pipes after your headers...guess you'll need a single 4" pipe to a 4" cutout to work best, huh?

Patrick I'm gonna run a 3in Y to 3.5in intermediate to 3.5in cutout.

Then back to 3in over the axle and to 1 DYNOMAX 3in Round Race Magnum to one 3in Tailpipe.I feel this will flow well enough w/o weighing TOO much.

I'm gonna also have Mufflex make the Y pipe quick release so I can try open 18in collectors from time to time.

I've done some ET calculations and I should run in the 11.15 to 11.05 range w/this setup at MY weight.

JS sounds good. I wonder if the LS6 heads and longtubes will be worth much over your last setup? When will the car be together?

Sounds good, but one thing I don't like...

The stock untouched shortblock and 6700rpm shifts. I'm gong to make a post later with some details/info which will shed some insight into some things going on with my car... For now let's just say it is not in very good shape right now. My stock crank/rods/Wiseco pistons bottom end didn't live under similar conditions, and it was even balanced. IMHO, much more reliable than a stock untouched shortblock. I have a lot of work to do now due to what appears to be a failure in the bottom end. No way would I try to put big HP to a stock LS1 bottom end again...

If you have the opportunity, at least upgrade the pistons and rods, and have everything checked and balanced.

Thanx George I totally agree...
6600-6700 should last alittle while til the N20 short block is built

Prepped block
N20 Piston w/lower ring land
File Fits setup for N20
Lunati Billet Rods
Stock Crank
Steel Caps
ARP Bolts
Balanced
ATI Balancer

I would think this will be VERY STRONG.
I really wanna run a 2 stage Dry setup w/a SEFI controlling everything.

Good Job Joel!
I would go bigger on the cam though
You are getting custom PCM work so why not take advantage of it
A nice 226/228 cam on 112LSA would be awesome NA and spray
