I have read where one of the ported oil pump kits come with two springs which control pressure. One is a high pressure spring and one is low pressure. Did you perhaps have a spring kit? That much oil pressure could possibly blow seals. Maybe someone that knows more will chime in. If not, I'd give a sponsor a call tomorrow.

This is from the lingenfelter site

"Includes a high pressure and standard pressure spring for the relief valve. The high pressure is installed when you receive the pump to make the pump high volume & standard pressure you can switch to the standard pressure spring. "

I would give them a call.

Well first of all, congrats on your successful cam install. Second, I'd swap out the spring in the oil pump to the one with less pressure. Like someone already stated, that high oil pressure could blow seals over a period of time.

just to chime in i would definitly fix the oil pressure problem, i know it sucks tearing the car back down again but in the long run it will be worth it. did you already fix the other 2 issues you were having?

You don't have to completely tear it down either. Just take off the water pump, crank pulley then onto the timing cover and oil pan. Shouldn't take that much time.

Agreed, you don't need tp pull the radiator, valve covers, etc, just the front of the engine, much easier than the original job.

yeah i know it really isn't going to be that much of a chore ... just probably a full saturday of work

have to drain coolant and oil tho to drop the pan and water pump ... reuse coolant pry?>???

and i know i was told to change the oil after 100 miles of cam install ... my car has 9 miles on it ... haha so would i want to change the oil AGAIN after 100 miles after this pressure problem??

i have not figured out the other issues ... pcv still has me confused ...
