Dyno test...Lost 35 RWHP

During a previous day at the dyno, I tested 334 RWHP and 341 Torque.
3 months later I tested 297 RWHP and 312 Torque.
I noticed a loss of SOTP immediately after my Air Conditioner compressor was repaired because it burned out. Since the compressor rebuild, my revs are not as loud nor as crisp when I rev on someone.
My wife said I am puffing black exhaust out the tail pipes when I WOT'ed in 1st. I've also been advised that the insides of the y-pipe cat converters are damaged a/c their insides rattle.

My questions are....
 • Could my air pump have gone bad again (it got water in it once)
 • Improper repairation of the Air conditioning compressor (since there is now a noticeably increase of RPM loss whenever I switch on the AC
 • Could the AC mechanics have banged up my cat converters while doing the AC repairs and guts of the cats flopping around are restricting exhaust flow
 • Could bent valves cause the black exhaust and loss of SOTP when WOT

Hmmm, thats interesting, I think the seals on my condenser are shot, this is making me think about leaving it how it is and not touching it...

Man thats not a good story...

you can lose a ton of power running with bad cats.. if the pieces inside turn sideways, you will go very down on power. take them out and gut them. if they are rattling that is your problem

Billy, your air pump wont affect your power(only comes on when engine cold)
Its normal for you to see rpm change when ac comes on, youll also feel a rev difference when compressor is running. Also ac comp. shuts off when you get into the throttle, so even if comp. is not exactly right, you shouldnt blame that.
If your converters are broken you can bang on them and hear if there loose inside. Last why do you think you might have bent valves?

I second on the bad cats.. I lost a lot of power when I put them on. They are off now..

If the cats rattle, thats definetly your problem. I'v had cats go bad on a car, then replaced them and it was a night and day difference.
