Default Hi ive ran search feature and found nothing on this A/f question

Ive got a 2002 ws6 trans am,which i just sold my 94 supra tt for.Now the question is i have a hks air fuel controller left over from the supra. This is a very advanced controller would it work on my trans am?running searchs has showed me people use the maft(i think)to arrange fuel issues.but from what i gather it only adjust fuel at wot.so the questions are.

Is my controller gonna work in my car and if so would it be beneficial to it since fuel adjustments are done in small increments.

also If it doesnt work what is good or better then that to properly tune all fuel issues with my new ls1?

I was looking into buying a Apexi unit. No one could give me answers. So i called Apexi and talked to a Tech. He said people have gooten them to work on mustangs but the % factor is WAY off. Meaning 1% make a BIG Diffrence!! But he said its a 50/50 chance it could work OR i could end up hurting something with the signal being translated improperly?? I chose to learn off someone elses mistake!! Just havent heard about it yet!! Ill keep my eye out on you though!! lol Good luck!! Tim 98z

Well im not the best tuner in the world, actually im just learning the basics but i would figure that a a/f controller that can adjust by 100 rpm increments is much more efficient then tuning at idle and wot.Does anyone run a air fuel tuner on there ls1?

Don't have the answer to your question, but is your car (or will it be) heavily modded? If not, i don't see why it's an issue. The LS1's computer seems to do a pretty good job of adding the right amount of fuel, and when it doesn't, the MAF Translator seems to pick up the slack fine. I'm sure someone else can give you more input I'm just wondering why you need that much control over the A/F ratio.

If it works on a mustang I do not see how it will work on an F-body if it is MAF based - since we have a voltage output vs. Frequency output?

Or does it try and alter the MAP signal instead of the MAF? This could have some effect, but would effect many other tables in the computer and I probably wouldn't bother.
