Just bought HPP3, what do I do with it?

Just bought HPP3, what do I do with it? What things did you all do to help you most effectively? Did you see a gain in rwhp or just at the track? Or neither?

Re: Just bought HPP3, what do I do with it? i gained a little bit withthe power tuning and using good gas. you might see a little bit because of the little amount of mods you have. people that usually lose power are those that have heads/cam/stroker/etc....although, every car is different. that is something to test at the track. you could raise the rev limiter a bit and play with shift points. i gained about 3 tenths from diong that. don't mess with the shift firmness either cause at WOT, line pressure is at 100% anyways. hope this helps a bit. it is also useful if you do a gear swap or a wheel/tire change that is different than stock height.

Re: Just bought HPP3, what do I do with it? I saw no gains from the power tuning on my '00 Z28 but the fan setting (160* t-stat)/shift point/rev limiter changes certainly helped a lot. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" />

Re: Just bought HPP3, what do I do with it? That is what I was thinking. In the manual it says something about only use "Power Programming (rgf?)" If you live in a state where something like reoxgynated gas fuel? is supplied. I don't think we have that here in houston. Not that I know of. That is suppose to be some high performance fuel. So if you use that setting your engine will expect alot better gas and since most of us only have 93octane we will get a crapload of knock.
