Ok no results today, car started leaning out at 4500 rpms and up. Can I be running out of injector? I have 30#'s and a racetronix fuel pump.

ok needed a re-map, he's done and the number are ..... A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!
411hp didnt get the tq numbers from him. This is thru a 9"with 3.89 gears on a mustang dyno. I'll post the graph tomorrow when I get it. He said it picked up more torque through the mid range than before.

410 hp 385 tq on the same dyno but with a 10 bolt and 373 gears. The tuner said the graph almost looks identical. I wonder if there could have been a mix up with the cam? Doesnt seem right. I should have more hp and maybe less tq not the same hp and more tq.

dont sweat the numbers you have to remember that the 9inch and those gears are gonna show a loss on the dyno

The easiest way to know where to spin it to is to put it on a dyno and see where your hp peaks. Then calculate where to shift so that you'll have the most average HP in each gear.
The other way is time consuming and harder on the car... take it to the track and try different runs at different shift points per run. Too much error in that for me. But I suck at driving.

Great street/strip cam. When i had an m6 i put down 428hp with mods in sig through a 9 inch and steel ds. After the auto it did 372 unlocked. I am switching to a customer grind (238/242,.600/.612/114lsa). This is only for the simple fact that good tuners can make big cam run great and produce slightly faster track times that the tr224. Why not?

LOL! Don't you mean "custom grind" (instead of "customer grind")? LOL!
Not trying to be a ****. I just got this vision of every average schmuck walking into a shop and playing with the machines to grind their own cam.

XFI Lobes 3015/3035 224/224 @.050 .609''/.600'' 110Lsa 108Icl 4*overlap

Ivo 4.0....Ivc 40.0

Evo 44.0......Evc 0

It would make a good street cam ,LS6 heads /.040 gasket , high dynamic compression for a simple combo .

I was at 370 RWHP and 360 TQ with the TR224 on a 114. Great cam no issues.

I up graded to the 228R on a 114 and heads not much gain from the cam, and tuning issues.

Quick Reply: pros/cons of running a bigger cam over a 224?
