Default Can a water temp gauge be rigged to record tranny temp also?

I saw on the page below where he has an oil temp gauge rigged up to where you can push a button and it will show the trans temp. I was just wonderin if you could do this same thing with an Auto-meter water temp gauge. Just curious

Yup, I believe the 2 gauges are identical except one says Trans and one says Oil. In fact, the coolant temp one is the same as far as I know. I mean, they all do the same thing, measure the temp of a liquid. I couldn't see any diff between my trans and coolant temp gauges/senders.

Just installing a switch to switch between senders would be all you need, I think.
