First off you need some readings/data to examine to see where your A/F, O2, and Ltrims are before you can make any adjustments. Some Atap runs are in order first, you may get real lucky and need no adjustments from your MAFT at all.

First you want to dial your BASE setting in. Start at 0/0 and ATAP. Make an adjustment, put about 50 miles on it and ATAP again. When you get your BASE setting where you want it, then dial in your 02's. 02's you don't really need to put 50 miles on each adjustment. The BASE setting takes time for the computer to re-learn.

Doing it this way, got me from 20* w/3*KR peak timing to 28* w/0 KR. And I've got some more ATAPing to do. Just waiting for some decent weather.

MAFT tuning is unfortunately not something you do in an hour or two.

And like he said, if your lucky you won't need any adjustments.
