Can someone cross reference this for me?

Can someone cross reference this for me? Found one of my original AC/Delco 41-931 plugs with the platinum tip off of it.Try to buy one.Told that the # was superceded with 41-952.Get a 952 & the center electrode sticks down about a eighth of an inch further.So I call the dealer.He says I should have a 41 -974???? Get the 974 & it's too long also.E-mail AC/Delco.They tell me that I should have the 952 because that's what superceded the 931,but DO NOT USE the 974 because it's too long.Piston damage will result.WTF ??
I want to stay with the platinums,for longevity,but I'm afraid to put in that longer plug.If someone can solve that for me I sure would be grateful.A whole day to buy 1 f#@^ing plug & I still don't have the right one.Grrrrr
If I can't find the right Delco plug what other platinum or other high mileage plugs are the exact replacement?

Re: Can someone cross reference this for me? high mileage plugs are a joke, they are really only high priced plugs and nothing more.. get some autolite 105's for $.99 each and call it a day.

Re: Can someone cross reference this for me? What I got from AC/Delco was that the 2000's & up had a head change that allowed the longer reach plug.(41-974) 98 & 99 need the shorter reach plug,but they don't make the 41-931 that came in my car anymore.Anybody using 41-952's in a 98 or 99?
