Default What do tuner shops use to program the PCM?

Do they use a software package that's out on the market like LS1Edit or do they use "in house developed software" or they use the HPPIII for their "custom tunning"?

Just curious.

Some use an outside pcm specialist like Ed Wright at fastchips. Others are now using ls1 edit. A few do their own thing, in house.

What does Ed Wright use to do custom PCM programming?

The reason for starting this thread is that i'm curious to see if all the "BIG" tuners out there are using something that's cheap and easily accessible to all. If so, then why do they charge $300-$500 for the programming?

MTI uses LS1 Edit now. I’m not sure what they used to use, but I think a guy named Larry used to do their tuning. For some reason that name seems to stick in my head...
