<strong>I was wondering, I want the hooker headers but I don't want to buy cat's for them cause I'm just gonna run ORP anyway but I still have to pass emissions. So I was thinking about buying the headers and y-pipe and having the the Y-pipe cut and ORP made for it but also having my stock cat's made to fit in the ORP's place so that when I have to get inspected I could throw the cat's on. Is this possible or suggested by anyone??? Nineball you have any input???

I've been wondering about installing the Hookers with R/T cats, not because of emissions but to keep the noise level down. Clearance might be a problem. I'll most likely end up with the OR pipe and put a bullet in the I-pipe.
Since we're both in N.Y. - get yourself lined up with a "friendly" inspector. There must be some on your end of the state. Rather than do all that messing around, you just hand him an extra twenty bucks. Furthermore, if you relocate your cats, which you'd need to do with the headers, you're violating federal law, and I don't know what an "unfriendly" inspector could, or would, do about that. All the more reason to have only a "friendly" inspector snooping around the car.
