Default Blowing Oil past rings, White smoke Q's..

I get some white puffs of smoke from a cold start. That's probably just some fuel left in the exhaust if I'm running a little rich, right?

If you were losing a ring.. Would you see white smoke at idle rev'ing the engine or would you need to be under load? Would you have high oil consumption too?

Would just like to know. Thx!

Default Re: Blowing Oil past rings, White smoke Q's..

It's white smoke at start-up..
Normally only 2-3 seconds of it. Today lasted 10-15 secs once.

Think my High Flow cats are holding some condensation/moisture? The 10-15 smoke today (1st time I saw it last that long) was after a 30 minute stop following a 1 hour mild mannered drive..
