what are the advantages of hand ported heads vs. cnc heads. Or vica versa.

That shoulda been the title of this thread.

Simple answer? Hand porting can be alot more detailed. It can also be more personalized to the particular casting. CNC has to assume all castings are the same.

Alot of good shops start with CNC'd heads and then hand port from there. IMO, CNCing is only half the job (if even that.)
